Water Twins....

George and Abigail graduated from their first swim class at the Y in March. They were fish!!
George's favorite thing was jumping on the platform in the water and Abigail's favorite was doing the "Hokey Pokey" every class! They were blowing bubbles on the first session and both were kicking with legs and arms by the end of the 3 weeks. Looks like swimming and kayaking are in their future...we love water sports!!
(We appreciated photographers Grammy and Grandpa who were present for the last class--juggling a camera was impossible with wet twins!)

Cutie Patooties

Are they not the cutest things evah????

A couple of glimpses of their creativity and "helpfulness" in the past few days...

My little lefty...
Picasso? No, Jankowski...watch for it, they'll be worth millions!
"Helping" to make homemade beer bread (thanks Wally!) with Matt's yummy pumpkin homebrew.

I must end with this story from yesterday....

I guess we're doing something right, though somedays I wonder. Yesterday George was throwing a fit because he wanted me to help him take off his shoes and jacket. He is fully capable of doing both, so with encouraging words to him, I turned my back and proceeded to unload groceries. After 5 minutes of his fit, his sweet sister went to him and in their own words, she offered to help him take off his shoes. She explained each step of the process, using words such as "undo strap" and he then instructed her about pulling off the "heel". They gleefully ran off together and when George noticed Abigail's shoes were still on, he told her "shoes off, I help Tister?". He knelt in front of her and took off her shoes.

I feel so blessed that at 2 1/2, they are already learning servanthood. Praise!!
