(Our campsite is in the background of this pic below. Great view of the lake and cool breeze!)
When the temperatures started to fall after our record-breaking extremely hot summer, we took the kiddos on a quick overnight campout to Lake Thunderbird State Park just outside of Norman. We left after work on a Friday, zoomed down Hwy 9, and Daddy set up camp while the twins and I enjoyed the drought-produced sandy beach on the lake. G&A wrote their names in the sand, waded in the chilly water, watched the gorgeous Oklahoma sunset, and had fun "exploring" the beach with Boomer.
Another sunset pic...I love the lighting changes. And yes, had to capture G wave-hopping.
Their big highlight was getting their very own flashlights & water bottles (bday gifts from Mr. Kelly & Mrs. Sandy-thank you!). We made s'mores on the camp stove and all of us--Boomer included--slept in the tent under gorgeous stars and a full moon.

Great pictures. And the bathrooms were.....?? Looks like G&A are natural born campers.
