Christmas Day '08

Sorry for the extra long slideshow, but I couldn't figure out how to delete the other pics we already posted. Guess you have to look at more pics of our adorable kiddos. ;)

Christmas this year was really wonderful. Matt's parents were up and we enjoyed wonderful times with them. We attended the family service at our church Christmas eve (no nursery so picture lots of crying and talking babies and a sweet little children's skit), came home and after the twins went to sleep, we enjoyed a cheese and chocolate fondue dinner.

George and Abigail awoke to find lots of new toys and their favorite, the Radio Flyer wagon from the Morris clan. I think we wore down a path on the carpet that morning with the wagon rides around the house!! It was a gorgeous day, so we were able to spend time outside. The kiddos loved opening all of their presents from friends and family, and we were thrilled to see the magic of Christmas through their eyes. The simple things they were amazed with....good reminder that it is not about quantity.

We had a feast for late lunch by Chef Matt and his sous chefs. Afterwards, we stuffed ourselves even more with homemade eggnog cake and Matt held his first violin recital for our neighbors. He played several Christmas songs he has been learning and it was beautiful! We had a relaxing and exciting day being home with family and celebrating the birth of Christ.
