Seven Months Two Weeks

This is one of those times where I get overwhelmed as I haven't blogged in nearly two weeks and sooooo much has happened!
The babies recovered from their ear infections. During that same time, Matt had to go out of town for business. I have finally reached the point in twin motherhood to know that I do not have to prove anything to anyone...including myself!! So Deb and Bill came up to help out (bless their gracious souls!) and also babysit Caine since our nanny was still out and we were doing the "baby shuffle". It all turned out wonderfully and the babies loved having lots of attention. Also, they planted flowers in our front flowerbeds, cleaned our house, and did ump-teen loads of laundry in addition to feeding, loving, and playing with the babies nonstop!!!!

George has gotten remarkably stronger in the past few weeks---I know I say that a bunch, but it is great to see how much he progresses from week to week. Currently, he is sitting up independently for ab 20 seconds or more at a time, bearing weight on his legs for increasing time, and tolerating more tummy time. Our PT has been really impressed with his gains! I cannot say enough pros about the importance of early intervention and pediatric physical therapy! He is eating like a champion....peas, tofu, bananas, zucchini, apples....and Abs is not far behind! He loves to play peek-a-boo and yesterday, "helped" Abigail play by pulling the blanket off her head. He loves to shreek and scream and growl! He is still our cuddlebug and loves to be loved!!

Abigail continues to be a mover and a shaker! She is SOOOOO close to crawling. She has mastered crawfishing backwards and rolling to get what she wants---we have to keep a close eye on her as she can get into mischief already! The other day she opened the wipe container that was on the floor and later pulled the blanket off the couch on top of herself. She loves to "talk" and play and explore her surroundings. She is a fabulous eater and has a smile to melt your heart. There is nothing more precious than hearing her coo and talk from her crib in the morning, and be greeted by her pushed up on her arms with a gorgeous smile!!

So then reality strikes again, and we are heading back in to the doc this morning as George is sick again!!!!! You would think that breastfed babies are supposed to be healthy and not get sick as often. Very frustrating. Poor babies are genetically predisposed to ear infections as Matt had 4 sets of tubes as a kid and still has bad ears. We do not want to do another round of antibiotics so we'll see what other options we have....
